Reviews health and fitness goals, teaches correct and safe exercise technique, monitors progress and provides encouragement for clients. Leads fitness and exercise classes at a community center, club or pool. Teaches aerobics, water, strength building or other exercises and maintains equipment.

Job Description

Sawgrass Country Club is seeking an experienced Pilates Instructor This role can be full-time or 1099.
Requirements:
Understand and adapt to the Sawgrass Club culture. Maintain strong communication with management at all times. Ability to perform basic clerical duties using club software, including POS and payroll data submission. Greet members and provide exceptional service at all times. Establish and maintain positive member relationships. Provide new members with an informative fitness equipment orientation. Provide resourceful information to members regarding programs and services. Understand and follow emergency procedures in the event of an illness, accident, or drowning. Attend all-staff in-service trainings and safety trainings. Assist with special events within the department when necessary. Assist with cleaning and maintaining the space during slower periods of the day. Nationally recognized Pilates Reformer certification required (i.e., STOTT Pilates, Balanced Body, BASI, Polestar, Peak Pilates, etc.). Must be equipment-certified in Reformer Pilates. Strong knowledge of Pilates principles, anatomy, and exercise physiology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Pilates classes for individuals and small groups. Design and implement Pilates workout routines tailored to each participant's needs and goals. Provide hands-on guidance and corrections to ensure proper form and technique. Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for members of all fitness levels. Monitor and track participant progress while adjusting workouts accordingly. Educate members on the benefits of Pilates and encourage integration into their fitness routines. Assist with the development and promotion of Pilates events and workshops. Maintain a clean and organized Pilates studio space. Uphold club policies and procedures while ensuring the safety of all participants at all times.
