TBD - Multiple instructors needed Company Overview Play Academy partners with premier residential communities to provide engaging wellness, recreation, and fitness programming. Our mission is to promote active, healthy lifestyles by offering high-quality classes that foster connection, movement, and overall well-being. Position Summary Play Academy is seeking enthusiastic and motivating Aqua Fitness Instructors to lead water-based fitness classes for residents at Esplanade at Center Lake Ranch. We are looking for a few instructors to help launch and support a dynamic aquatic fitness program. Aqua fitness classes are designed to be low-impact, fun, and accessible , helping participants improve cardiovascular health, strength, mobility, and overall wellness while exercising in the pool. Classes should accommodate a variety of fitness levels , from beginners to more active participants. Class Formats May Include Aqua Aerobics Water Cardio Aqua Strength & Resistance Low-Impact Water Fitness Mobility & Recovery Water Workouts Instructors should be able to provide modifications and progressions to ensure classes are safe and effective for all participants. Compensation $40 per hour for group aqua fitness classes 60/40 revenue split for private aquatic training sessions (Instructor receives 60% of the private lesson fee) Private sessions may be arranged with residents and scheduled based on availability. Key Responsibilities Lead engaging, safe, and effective aqua fitness classes. Create a fun and welcoming environment that encourages participation. Demonstrate proper technique for water-based exercises. Provide modifications for participants of varying abilities and fitness levels. Ensure pool safety and maintain awareness of participants during class. Represent Play Academy professionally within the community. Communicate with the Play Academy team regarding attendance and program feedback. Qualifications Group Fitness Certification (NASM, ACE, AFAA, ISSA, or similar preferred) Aqua Fitness Certification preferred CPR/AED Certification required Previous aqua fitness or group fitness instruction experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Positive, engaging, and energetic teaching style
