Job Description:
Sports & Recreation Leader:
Looking for Sports & Recreation Leaders with basic knowledge of the rules of the game for soccer, and volleyball. Responsible for refereeing and teaching the fundamentals of sports to children ages 5 and up. Responsibilities include fostering an environment where participants build self-esteem, enhance athletic skills and gain valuable life lessons focused on the core values. Safety is of the utmost importance, along with providing personalized attention, support and motivation for all participants.
Responsibilities:
Sets up and breaks down program areas, ensuring that all areas are safe and clean Supports officials, staff and coaches during practice and games Responds to and properly documents all incidents, member/guest concerns, injuries, etc. Supports Association Director of Sports for sports and recreation season kick-offs and end of the season activities, as well as branch special events such as Healthy Kids Day, Family Fun Days, etc. Distributes and collects program surveys, as well as marketing materials to increase registration Implements first aid and safety procedures according to policies Promotes/supports the recruitment of volunteers and assists with their training, development and recognition Experience working with young children preferred Interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills required Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community Knowledge and/or experience in coaching and delivering an organized quality program is preferred
Certifications:
CPR/AED and First Aid required in first 90 days of employment Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift an equivalent of 30 pounds
Soccer Sports & Recreation Leader:
Seeking Soccer Sports & Recreation Leaders with a interest in soccer and a basic understanding of the rules of the game. This role is responsible for refereeing and teaching the fundamentals of soccer to children ages 5 and up, with additional support in other sports such as volleyball as needed. This position helps create an environment where participants build self-esteem, develop athletic skills, and gain valuable life lessons rooted in the core values. Safety is the highest priority, along with providing personalized attention, support, and motivation for all participants.
Responsibilities:
Sets up and breaks down program areas, ensuring all spaces are safe, clean, and ready for soccer programming Leads, referees, and supports soccer practices, drills, and games for youth participants Supports officials, staff, and coaches during soccer sessions, practices, and games Responds to and properly documents incidents, member/guest concerns, injuries, etc. Supports the Association Director of Sports with soccer season kick-offs, end-of-season activities, and branch events such as Healthy Kids Day and Family Fun Days Distributes and collects program surveys and marketing materials to help increase soccer program registration Implements first aid and safety procedures according to policies Promotes and supports the recruitment, training, and recognition of volunteers Interest in soccer; basic knowledge of rules required (playing or coaching experience preferred) Experience working with youth and young children preferred Interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills required Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic backgrounds Coaching or experience delivering organized youth sports programs preferred CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within the first 90 days of employment Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

Pay:
$14.25 to $15.00 per hour; depends on experience. Benefits are offered.
