The ideal candidate has deep understanding of yoga philosophy and anatomy, capable of leading engaging, safe, and welcoming classes for students of all levels. You will guide participants through varied, intelligent sequencing- incorporating breathing techniques and meditation- to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
Responsibilities Class instruction:
Lead various styles of yoga classes, providing clear, concise verbal instruction and physical demonstrations
Safety & Alignment:
Offer precise alignment cues, modifications, and safe alternatives for students with injuries, mobility limitations and pregnancy.
Environment & Culture:
Create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive studio atmosphere. Greet students, manage music, and ensure the studio is organized and clean.
Personalized Feedback:
Observe students during class and provide constructive feedback or hands-on adjustment (if permitted) to deepen their practice Administrative duties: Arrive early to prepare for class, manage attendance, and coordinate with studio management regarding scheduling changes.
Engagement:
Motivate students with encouragement and build community by engaging with members before and after class.
Requirements & Qualifications Certification:
Minimum 200-hour Yoga Alliance (RYT-200) certification (500-hour RYT preferred)
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching group classes in a studio or gym environment
Specialty Skills:
Knowledge of Anatomy, Pranayama, mindful meditation, and chakra systems. Additional skills in disciplines such as Pilates, dancing, sports coaching, or cycling are a plus
Certifications:
Valid CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
Reliability:
Punctual, professional, and reliable
Availability:
