Your enthusiasm and knowledge will inspire members to stay committed to their fitness journeys while supporting the smooth operation of our fitness center. Duties Greet members and guests with a friendly, professional attitude, creating an inviting environment for all visitors Monitor the fitness floor to ensure safe use of equipment and adherence to gym policies Provide guidance on proper body mechanics, biomechanics, and weight handling techniques to prevent injuries Assist members with exercise techniques, including strength and conditioning training programs and group fitness activities Conduct routine safety checks on equipment, perform manual handling tasks safely, and report maintenance needs promptly Support program development by helping design tailored fitness routines for individual clients and group classes Respond swiftly to emergencies by administering first aid, CPR, or operating AED devices as needed Requirements Proven experience in the fitness industry or gym environment with knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation from recognized organizations Strong understanding of biomechanics, sports coaching experience, and strength training instruction Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while demonstrating excellent customer service skills Knowledge of program design for strength and conditioning training programs tailored to various fitness levels Physical fitness training experience with the ability to demonstrate exercises safely and effectively Prior experience working with athletes or in health club settings is highly desirable Minimum Requirements Must be 18 years or older. Adult CPR/AED & First Aid certifications from the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or the American Safety & Health Institute will be required. Prior fitness and customer service experience strongly preferred. Computer application knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) strongly preferred. Physical demands require having the ability to lift up to 40 lb. weights for restacking. Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.
