CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER ROLE OVERVIEW
Sens Commons•The Studio is seeking an energetic, thoughtful, and highly motivated Certified Personal Trainer with expertise in corrective exercise and functional movement to join our growing Studio team. Reporting to the General Manager and Studio Owner, this non-exempt, commission-based role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about helping clients move better, reduce pain through appropriate exercise, improve mobility, and restore functional movement while delivering an exceptional client experience. The ideal candidate has experience working with clients who have orthopedic concerns, chronic pain, post-rehabilitation needs, movement dysfunction, or mobility limitations, and understands how to safely design individualized exercise programs while remaining within the scope of practice of a Certified Personal Trainer.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct comprehensive movement assessments, fitness evaluations, postural analyses, and individualized corrective exercise-based personal training sessions, incorporating assisted stretching and mobility techniques as appropriate to support client goals and recovery. Design individualized exercise programs that improve movement quality, mobility, stability, strength, balance, and functional performance Utilize corrective exercise strategies to address muscular imbalances, movement compensations, and mobility restrictions within the trainer's professional scope of practice Build and nurture a consistent personal training client base in alignment with Studio standards Deliver exceptional, individualized attention and care to every client Collaborate professionally with physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and other healthcare providers when appropriate Educate clients on proper movement mechanics, posture, injury prevention, and long-term movement health Maintain familiarity with all Studio services, programs, and offerings Manage and update client information, schedules, and payments within WellnessLiving software Demonstrate safe and effective exercise technique and proper equipment usage, including movement of weights up to 50 lbs Provide an elevated level of hospitality, professionalism, and customer service to both current and prospective clients Adjust and properly operate all fitness equipment Uphold reliable attendance and punctuality Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development Support additional Studio needs as directed by leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
Current nationally recognized Personal Training certification Current CPR/AED certification Corrective Exercise Specialist certification strongly preferred (NASM-CES, ACE Medical Exercise Specialist, Functional Range Systems, DNS, Postural Restoration, Functional Movement Systems, or comparable advanced education) One or more years of experience providing corrective exercise or functional movement training preferred Strong understanding of biomechanics, movement assessment, posture, mobility, joint function, and exercise progression Experience working with clients experiencing chronic pain, orthopedic conditions, post-rehabilitation needs, or movement limitations preferred Ability to recognize when a client's condition requires referral to an appropriate healthcare provider Strong verbal and written communication skills, including timely and professional communication with clients and team members Commitment to growing a personal practice while continuously developing professional knowledge and expertise Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the core values of
