Job Description

Dry Dock coaches will lead clients through the different modalities that encompass our low impact 50-minute classes - rowing, strength, and mobility. Our coaches are our backbone - they are the ones who build relationships, motivate, and hold our members accountable to help guide them on their fitness journey. Classes are small, designed to allow coaches to give clients personalized attention in a group environment. Dry Dock coaches are dedicated to empower our clients to find a stronger version of themselves. Our coaches are held to a high standard to ensure the safety of our members. All Dry Dock coaches must undergo Dry Dock's comprehensive training program. Our training groups are small, allowing for individualized support and tight-knit relationships. The training team are dedicated to the success of each coach in training candidate and will provide many points of connection for feedback. Please note, prior fitness teaching experience is not required. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to get in on a new fitness location coming to the Raleigh area.

Responsibilities:
Participate in all monthly staff meetings and training events - whether they be virtual or in-person - to learn new techniques and best practices. Interact and form relationships with clients and the fitness community, creating a fitness space that is welcoming and inclusive of all backgrounds and abilities. Embody the Dry Dock brand and culture Creating a fitness space that is welcoming and inclusive of all backgrounds and abilities Assist sales associates and General Manager with studio tour and sales as needed Build and retain clientele Completion of Dry Dock Coach Training within the first month of onboarding and pass all evaluations as required Other related tasks as assigned by the
Company Requirements:
Maintain an active
CPR / AED
certification during employment Coach a minimum of 4 classes a week, with availability to work both week days and weekend days. Employees are expected to arrive a minimum of 20 minutes prior to their scheduled class time, resulting in a minimum of around 6 hours per week of work. Coach a minimum of 3 holidays per year (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve)
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a growth compensation plan that begins with a starting pay of $20 per class.
Promotions:
All employees are eligible for promotion on a bi-yearly basis. Promotions are determined by Lead Coach, Megan Shawver, and General Manager, Meghan Johnson, in accordance with the company's promotion policy.
