Reviews health and fitness goals, teaches correct and safe exercise technique, monitors progress and provides encouragement for clients. Leads fitness and exercise classes at a community center, club or pool. Teaches aerobics, water, strength building or other exercises and maintains equipment.

Job Description

PhysioFit is a Physical Therapy practice looking for motivated and skilled group fitness instructor to lead small sized functional fitness classes for the general public and special populations designed for injury prevention and wellness. We are looking for a strength instructor that has experience or desire to work closely with clients and therapist to develop the most appropriate and safe program to help reach fitness and health goals. Must be available to teach weekday evenings - Wed/Thur preferred.
Qualifications:
Passionate about coaching clients to reach their health in fitness goals Willing and desire to work close with the Physical Therapists to maximize the experience and health benefits for the clients Ability to adjust exercise program to fit the needs of the client, via listing to the clients needs and/or recommendations from therapist Provide excellent customer service, speaking in a positive and motivating tone
Professional Requirements:
Provide appropriate certifications for respective class if indicated Obtain professional liability insurance CPR certification, preferred but not required One hour training from Physical Therapist on special populations and considerations to implement with coaching (compensated)

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
