Qualified candidates must have exceptional customer service skills and represent the company in a positive and professional manner when on and off campus.
Responsibilities:
Provides safe, effective, and individualized personal training sessions tailored to the unique needs, abilities, and goals of older adults. Conducts fitness assessments and develops appropriate exercise programs that promote strength, balance, flexibility, mobility, and overall wellness for older adults. Encourages, motivates, and monitors clients while providing proper exercise instruction, cueing, and technique correction. Modifies exercises as needed to accommodate age-related limitations, medical considerations, and varying fitness levels. Maintains accurate client records, training notes, and appointment schedules. Advises supervisor of any member/resident concerns that may require special consideration. Returns equipment to the proper location and maintains a clean, organized training environment. Creates a welcoming, supportive environment that helps older adults build confidence, improve functional fitness, and remain active and independent.
Qualifications:
CPR, First Aid, AED. Nationally recognized Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, or equivalent). Ability to work with diverse populations. At least one year of personal training experience is preferred. MUST have experience working with older adults.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to demonstrate and lead exercises, walk, stand, bend, and reach to ensure the safety and effectiveness of each training session.
