Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Prenatal and/or Postpartum Certified Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic health and wellness team. In this role, you will design and lead specialized fitness classes tailored to the unique needs of pregnant and postpartum clients, promoting safe, effective, and empowering exercise routines. Your expertise will help clients achieve their fitness goals while supporting their health during one of the most transformative phases of life. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of new mothers and expectant women through energetic coaching and personalized program design. Responsibilities Lead engaging group fitness classes focused on prenatal and postpartum exercise, including yoga, Pilates, cycling, body mechanics, and strength training. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, ensuring safety and effectiveness for clients at various stages of pregnancy or postpartum recovery. Develop customized workout programs that accommodate individual client needs, medical considerations, and fitness levels. Provide motivational coaching to encourage clients' progress, boost confidence, and foster a positive environment. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and health guidelines related to pregnancy and postpartum fitness. Ensure all classes adhere to safety protocols, including manual handling techniques and emergency procedures such as CPR and AED operation. Communicate effectively with clients about their progress, answer questions about exercise routines, and promote ongoing engagement with fitness services. Experience Proven experience in group fitness instruction within the fitness industry, with a focus on prenatal or postpartum programs preferred. Certification in prenatal/postpartum fitness or related disciplines such as Yoga instruction, Pilates instruction is required. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, body mechanics, and health considerations specific to pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Demonstrated ability to design safe and effective exercise routines for diverse client needs involving heavy lifting, cycling, dancing, or CrossFit-style training is advantageous. Strong communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach to client interaction. Experience working in health clubs or fitness facilities that offer specialized programs for women during pregnancy or postpartum periods is highly desirable. Certification in CPR and AED operation is mandatory to ensure client safety during all sessions.
