As a group fitness instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering fun, safe, and challenging workouts that cater to the unique needs and abilities of older adults. Responsibilities Develop and lead a variety of group Zumba classes. Modify exercises and provide adaptations to ensure all participants can participate safely and comfortably Motivate and encourage seniors to stay active, improve their fitness, and maintain a healthy lifestyle Monitor participants' form and provide feedback to ensure proper technique and prevent injuries Maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of community Collaborate with the wellness team to develop programming that aligns with the company's goals and the needs of our senior members Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience leading group fitness classes, with a focus on working with older adults Certification in one or more group fitness disciplines (e.g., AFAA, ACE, NASM) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants Thorough understanding of exercise science, anatomy, and the unique needs of the senior population Creativity and the ability to design fun, varied, and challenging workouts CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Fitness training insurance Passion for helping older adults improve their health and well-being Benefits Competitive hourly rate Flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability Opportunities for professional development and continuing education Supportive and collaborative work environment If you are an experienced group fitness instructor who is passionate about helping seniors stay active and healthy, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity at Alive, Fit & Free.
