Job Description
Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Aquafit (water aerobics) instructor to lead engaging, low-impact classes for a vibrant 55+ community in our onsite indoor pool. This role focuses on fitness, wellness, and creating a positive, social environment for active adults. The ideal instructor can adapt exercises to suit varying ability levels and help residents improve strength, balance, and mobility through fun, safe, and effective water workouts. Responsibilities Lead engaging, low-impact Aquafit classes for residents in a safe and supportive environment Take attendance and support class participation Create and deliver fun, effective water workouts tailored to varying fitness levels and abilities Maintain a positive, friendly, and encouraging atmosphere for all participants Demonstrate professional behavior when interacting with residents, staff, and management Communicate clearly and effectively with participants and team members Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with facility guidelines Qualifications Water Aerobics Instructor Certification CPR Certification Friendly, motivating, and patient teaching style Experience working with older adults preferred This role is offered as an independent contractor (1099) position.
