You will work alongside Physical Therapists to help clients transition from rehabilitation into confident, independent movement. Work Alongside Physical Therapists Pilates is an important part of the movement and rehabilitation model at WAVE. You will collaborate with Physical Therapists who understand movement, orthopedic rehabilitation, biomechanics, strength, and performance. Together, you will help clients continue progressing after Physical Therapy and apply what they have learned to long-term movement and wellness.
You will have opportunities to:
Collaborate with Physical Therapists on shared client goals. Understand how Physical Therapy plans transition into Pilates programming. Support clients completing or progressing beyond formal rehabilitation. Gain exposure to clinical reasoning and movement assessment. Learn more about orthopedic conditions and common movement limitations. Adapt Pilates sessions around each client's injury history and recovery needs. Lead Purposeful Pilates Sessions Every client brings a different history, ability level, and reason for pursuing Pilates. You will have the freedom to create thoughtful sessions centered on each client's needs, goals, and current movement abilities.

At WAVE, you will help bridge the gap between rehabilitation and independent movement. You may work with clients who want to: Continue progressing after Physical Therapy. Recover safely following an injury. Rebuild strength after a period of pain or limited activity. Improve confidence in movement. Return to exercise and recreational activities. What You Will Do As a Pilates Instructor at WAVE, you will: Lead small-group Reformer classes. Coach duet Pilates sessions. Provide individualized private Pilates sessions. Deliver one-hour client sessions . Develop thoughtful session plans based on client needs and goals. Support clients transitioning from Physical Therapy into ongoing movement training. Help clients improve strength, mobility, balance, control, and body awareness. Educate clients about alignment, breathing, movement patterns, and mechanics. Modify exercises based on injury history, movement limitations, and ability level. Progress exercises based on client response and improvement. Track client progress and adjust programming as needed. Communicate and collaborate with Physical Therapists and wellness professionals. Create a supportive, encouraging, and professional client experience. Help clients develop confidence and independence in movement. The right candidate will have:
Current Pilates certification. A minimum of three years of Pilates teaching experience. Confidence leading Reformer-based sessions. Experience coaching private, duet, or small-group sessions. A strong understanding of anatomy and movement patterns. Excellent communication, instruction, and cueing skills. The ability to modify sessions for different needs and ability levels. An interest in Physical Therapy, rehabilitation, and movement science. A commitment to providing personalized client care. A desire to continue growing professionally.
