Personal Trainer Dublin Community Recreation Center Salary Personal Trainer pay rates based on 75% commission of in- person personal training multi-session pass fees. Personal trainers may choose pass options and fees that they would like to offer
Location Dublin, OH Job Type Contractual Department Recreation Services Overview:
The Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC) is seeking experienced certified Personal Fitness Trainers for live/in-person personal training. Personal Fitness Trainers are provided with the necessary tools and support to meet the following program objectives for each participant they work with:  Assess current and past health history and obtain physician clearance if needed  Conduct optional client fitness assessments on a periodic basis to evaluate muscular strength, flexibility, cardio vascular endurance, and body composition  Assess current physical fitness level and personal fitness goals to prescribe an individualized personal fitness program  Provide ongoing support based on the individual's needs consisting of regular communication, engagement, online training, and consulting sessions using ZOOM or another approved online platform of your choice DCRC Personal Trainers work under the direction of the Fitness and Wellness Program Supervisor and join a team of professional and knowledgeable staff. Trainers benefit from the ability to work independently and create their own, flexible schedule. The DCRC team consists of Front Desk, Operations, Group Fitness Instructors, Fitness Program Instructors along with other Recreation Program Staff.
Duties Include:
 A strong understanding of physical fitness, exercise science, exercise techniques  Leadership skills and prior experience instructing individuals  Providing support, information, and qualified instruction to participants in a fun and safe environment  Maintaining records of participants and enforcing personal training program policies  Maintaining close communication with the Recreation Program Supervisor, programming staff, and participants  Following national safety guidelines  Obtaining necessary Continuing Education Courses (CEC) to maintain current certification  Abiding by all contractual Personal Trainer policies and guidelines
Position Qualifications:
 A strong understanding of physical fitness, exercise science, and exercise techniques  At least one (1) year experience in Personal Training and or instructing fitness programs  Leadership skills and strong teaching capabilities  Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public  Ability to customize a personal training session to an individual's needs Contractual requirements:  Completed DCRC Personal Trainer Sanction Packet  Personal Training certification from a NCCA accredited Personal Training organization such as ACE, ACSM, NASM or WITS  Possession of certification in CPR and First Aid  Certificate of Liability insurance with the City of Dublin listed as co-insured  Resume and or list of previous employment related to this position  Three or more references and or letters of recommendation related to this position  Signed OPERS Independent Contractor acknowledgement form upon hire  Signed Liability Indemnification agreement upon hire
Supplemental Information:
This work is designated as Contractual in nature and all those serving in such positions are considered Contractual. Contract workers are not eligible for any employee benefits. Contract workers are responsible for local, state and federal income taxes. Instructor contracts can be terminated at any time if terms of the contract are not met.
