Come be part of an organization transforming the caring field every day, here at Cleveland Clinic. Stow Health and Wellness Center is looking to add a Personal Trainer to its team of caregivers. Under the direct supervision of the Health and Fitness Manager, the Personal Trainer is responsible for their clients' physical assessments, exercise prescription, and motivation, as well as policy enforcement, record keeping, and always delivering excellent customer service to every member. It will be your goal to help those you work with stay healthy, lose weight and assist with their physical mobility. Working one-on-one with LifeStyles members presents a unique opportunity to influence healthy behavior and make a meaningful difference in their quality of life. This role is particularly appealing as the facilities, standards, practices, clientele and culture truly present the best place for a Personal Trainer to work. A PRN caregiver in this position works varying shifts, Monday-Friday, between 8:00AM - 6:00PM . A caregiver who excels in this role will: Schedule and administer computerized Health Risk Appraisals and Physical Fitness Assessments to new and existing clients at least three times per year. Prescribe individual exercise programs that follow the guidelines adopted by Akron General LifeStyles based on assessment results and client goals. Maintain a record of past and present clients' attendance and payments. Review all policies and procedures with each client verbally. Provide floor coverage during times of need. Follow the established procedure for repair of equipment found to be malfunctioning. Display proficiency in the operation of computer hardware and KI software. Complete mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintain applicable certification/licensure. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's D egree in Athletic Training , Physical Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Physical Education or other related discipline OR specific certification in personal training Excellent communication and customer service-related skills Ability to work variable hours Experience in the administration of physical assessments, exercise prescriptions and program development Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Basic computer operational skills
