Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic fitness team as a Group Fitness Instructor and inspire members to achieve their health and wellness goals through engaging, energetic, and expertly led classes. In this role, you will design and deliver a variety of group exercise sessions that cater to diverse fitness levels, fostering a motivating environment that encourages participation and progress. Your passion for fitness, combined with your ability to connect with clients, will help create a vibrant community dedicated to active living. Duties Lead group fitness classes such as aerobics, yoga, Pilates, cycling, CrossFit, and dance-based workouts with enthusiasm and professionalism. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, ensuring safety and correct body mechanics during routines. Develop tailored program designs that accommodate different skill levels and fitness goals. Motivate participants through positive coaching, clear communication, and energetic instruction to maximize engagement. Monitor participants' form and provide modifications or adjustments to prevent injury and optimize results. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including manual handling procedures and first aid readiness. Promote fitness programs and services to encourage ongoing participation and support clients' health journeys. Experience Proven experience in leading group fitness classes across multiple disciplines such as yoga, Pilates, cycling, or high-intensity training. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics to ensure safe exercise execution. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation is required; additional certifications in First Aid are preferred. Background in personal training or sports coaching enhances your ability to tailor routines effectively. Familiarity with fitness industry standards including coaching techniques, program design, heavy lifting safety procedures, and gym experience is highly valued. Excellent client communication skills combined with a passion for motivating others to achieve their best. Experience with diverse fitness modalities such as Yoga instruction, Dancing routines, or CrossFit training is advantageous.
