Adamstown, PA Job Details 3 hours ago Qualifications Certified Group Exercise Instructor Full Job Description Bring the energy and help our members feel stronger, healthier, and more confident! The Fitness Instructor leads fun, safe, and engaging group fitness classes for participants of varying ages and fitness levels. You'll create a welcoming environment, demonstrate proper exercise techniques, and motivate members to get moving and reach their goals.
Responsibilities include:
Lead energetic and engaging fitness classes. Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive atmosphere. Demonstrate proper exercise form and equipment use. Offer modifications for different fitness levels and abilities. Monitor participants and prioritize safety throughout each class. Get to know participants and help them feel connected to the YMCA community. Maintain a clean and organized workout space. Follow YMCA safety procedures and emergency protocols. Must be at least 18 years old. Current instructor certification appropriate for the class being taught. Knowledge of safe exercise techniques and proper form. Friendly, dependable, and comfortable leading and motivating a group. Strong communication skills and a passion for helping others. Ability to demonstrate exercises and remain active throughout class. Ability to frequently lift or move fitness equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Must successfully complete required Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI clearances. CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred or must be obtained within the timeframe established by the YMCA.
