Hearts That Matter Most Adult Day Services Position Overview Hearts That Matter Most Adult Day Services is hiring an experienced Recreation Aide to lead daily activities and support seniors in a structured adult day center setting. This position is not entry-level and is not an intern or training role . Candidates must be comfortable independently leading groups, facilitating crafts, and assisting seniors with daily needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Recreation & Group Leadership Independently plan and lead structured recreational and educational group activities for seniors Facilitate arts and crafts using basic tools and supplies (scissors, glue, paint, markers, etc.) Lead engaging group discussions, games, and learning activities appropriate for older adults Modify activities to accommodate cognitive, physical, and sensory limitations Senior Care & ADL Support Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, including: Toileting reminders and support Hand hygiene Mobility assistance Mealtime assistance and supervision Provide respectful, patient, and person-centered care at all times Organization & Program Support Prepare materials and activity areas before groups begin Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment Follow the daily schedule and program expectations consistently Technology & Communication Use basic computer skills for email, printing, simple documentation, and activity support Assist with technology-based activities (TVs, tablets, music, videos) Required Qualifications (Must Have) Previous experience working with seniors (adult day services, nursing home, assisted living, or home care) Proven experience leading group activities and crafts Experience assisting with ADLs Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively Basic computer skills Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in a group setting Reliable, punctual, and professional Preferred (Not Required) Experience with dementia or cognitive impairments CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Important Notes This role requires hands-on experience and independent group leadership Applicants must be comfortable engaging older adults throughout the day This position is not suitable for individuals seeking training, internships, or observation-only roles What We Offer Competitive pay: $17.50-$18.00/hour Supportive, professional work environment Consistent daytime schedule Meaningful work serving seniors in the community
