We provide engaging wellness programs in senior living communities, personal care homes, skilled nursing facilities, memory care units, and adult day programs. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about using music and movement to promote connection, joy, cognitive engagement, and overall well-being. Our instructors create inclusive, uplifting experiences for individuals with varying physical abilities, including those living with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other cognitive or neurological conditions . More than just leading exercise, you'll help residents build confidence, express themselves, and experience meaningful social interaction through movement and music. Responsibilities Lead engaging dance, movement, or Zumba Gold-style classes tailored to older adults and individuals with cognitive impairments. Create a welcoming, supportive environment that encourages participation at all ability levels. Adapt activities to accommodate physical limitations, mobility challenges, memory loss, and varying levels of cognitive functioning. Use music, rhythm, movement props, and simple choreography to stimulate engagement, reminiscence, and social connection. Encourage participation while recognizing and respecting individual comfort levels and needs. Build positive relationships with residents, activity staff, caregivers, and facility leadership. Arrive prepared, organized, and able to independently facilitate sessions in a professional manner. Complete brief session notes and communicate any concerns or successes following classes. Qualifications Experience teaching Zumba Gold, dance fitness, chair fitness, movement therapy, recreation, or group exercise programs. Experience working with older adults, particularly in senior living communities, nursing homes, memory care, adult day programs, or healthcare settings preferred. Understanding of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and age-related cognitive changes is highly desirable. Ability to modify activities for participants with physical, cognitive, or sensory limitations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient, and encouraging approach. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to local facilities. Current fitness certification, Zumba Gold certification, recreation therapy background, or related experience is a plus. Why Join Us?
