A Personal Trainer or Fitness Instructor develops customized exercise and fitness programs for clients. Reviews health and fitness goals, teaches correct and safe exercise technique, monitors progress and provides encouragement for clients. Leads fitness and exercise classes at a community center, club or pool. Teaches aerobics, water, strength building or other exercises and maintains equipment.

Job Description

Hilton Head Health (H3), a world-renowned weight-loss and wellness destination, is seeking energetic and inspiring Fitness Instructors to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to help guests of all fitness levels feel supported, motivated, and confident as they work toward their personal wellness goals in a safe, welcoming resort environment. We are looking for instructors with experience leading aqua, strength, cardio, and alternative fitness classes such as dance fitness, hip-hop, Zumba, Pilates, or similar formats. Because H3 welcomes new guests each week, instructors should be comfortable adapting classes to meet a wide range of abilities, goals, and fitness levels. What You'll Do
  • Lead engaging, safe, and effective group fitness classes for adult guests with varying fitness levels.
  • Create a positive class experience that encourages participation, confidence, and fun.
  • Modify instruction as needed to support individual guest needs and abilities.
  • Contribute to a supportive wellness-focused environment that reflects the H3 guest experience.
  • Assist with the internship program, including candidate selection and mentorship. What We're Looking For
  • Current fitness certification.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Experience working with adults across a variety of fitness levels.
  • Capability to offer recovery services that support guest wellness, mobility, and post-workout care.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate, encourage, and connect with guests.
  • A flexible, guest-centered approach to instruction. Compensation & Benefits
  • Average yearly Base compensation of over $40K.
  • Additional 25% compensation for personal services.
