About Sweetgrass Pilates:
Rooted in classical Pilates and coastal calm, Sweetgrass Pilates is a boutique studio serving a diverse community of clients of all ages and abilities. Our mission is to provide high-quality, inclusive Pilates instruction in a warm, supportive, and serene environment. We specialize in age-specific programming and value thoughtful, controlled movement.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and welcoming Pilates instructor to join our team. Ideal candidates are Comprehensively Pilates Certified through a recognized Pilates education program. However, we are open to highly motivated instructors who are currently working toward comprehensive certification and committed to completing their training within an agreed-upon timeframe.
Responsibilities:
Lead private, duet, and small group reformer classes (max 7 clients) Deliver personalized instruction with a deep understanding of Pilates principles and modifications Maintain a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming studio environment Participate in occasional team meetings and ongoing education Provide feedback and contribute ideas to grow and improve our offerings
Qualifications:
Comprehensive Pilates certification (or in active pursuit of one) Min required mat and reformer teaching certification A warm, professional presence and a passion for helping clients feel strong, capable, and seen Strong understanding of anatomy, injuries, and safe programming for all ages and levels CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain) Availability to teach min. 2 sessions per week, early morning and early evening shifts available and negotiable.
Preferred:
Experience with older adults or specialty populations Background in classical pilates or STOTT pilates Familiarity with fitness scheduling software
