A Personal Trainer at the Y will help members meet their health and fitness goals by assisting them in designing, training, and maintaining a personalized exercise program, while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the members while they are on the wellness floor. We are currently in need of certified

Personal Trainer:
Provides energizing, fun, safe, and educational one-on-one personal training to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals. Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members. Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA. Provides a clean and well-maintained wellness center, including knowledge of equipment preventative maintenance and repairs. Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations. Other duties as assigned. What's required: Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED, national accredited certification in personal training At least one year of personal training experience is preferred High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to conduct training sessions and activities. Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including demonstrating exercises, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
