This is more than a place to train individual clients. Our trainers work as one team, follow shared programming and documentation standards, support the entire member experience, and match each member with the trainer who best fits their needs. What You'll Do Assess each member's goals, abilities, limitations, and training needs Develop and deliver safe, effective, individualized training sessions Track member progress and adjust programming as appropriate Maintain accurate and timely session notes and required documentation Prepare for each session before the member arrives Educate members on proper exercise technique, equipment use, and safe movement Encourage accountability and help members remain engaged with their goals Communicate clearly with members, trainers, and leadership Follow ACME Athletics programming, safety, and service standards Refer or transition members to another trainer when that trainer is the better fit Help maintain clean, organized, and safe training areas Participate in team meetings, coaching, training, and continued development Contribute to the overall member experience—not only assigned training sessions What We're Looking For A team-first trainer who cares more about the member's success than claiming ownership of clients Someone who contributes beyond scheduled sessions and supports the overall gym experience A coach who follows established programming and documentation standards consistently Someone who welcomes feedback, coaching, and continued professional development A dependable professional who arrives early, prepared, and ready for every session A strong communicator who collaborates well with other trainers and leadership Someone who adapts their coaching style to each member's needs, goals, and abilities A positive, encouraging presence who can build trust with members at different fitness levels Sound judgment and a strong commitment to member safety This Is Not for You If You want a place to "just train your clients" and do your own thing You are not a team player—nobody fights over clients here; the member's best fit wins You resist programming standards, documentation, or being coached yourself You treat punctuality and session preparation as optional Qualifications Current CPR/AED certification required CSCS, CSCCa, NASM, ACE, NSCA, or a comparable personal-training or strength-and-conditioning certification preferred Personal training or coaching experience preferred Knowledge of safe exercise technique, program design, and progress tracking Comfortable working with members who have different goals, abilities, and experience levels Able to communicate professionally and maintain accurate documentation Schedule Hours vary based on member appointments and business needs Flexible availability may be required, including mornings, evenings, and weekends In-person position at ACME Athletics in Clarksville, Tennessee Pay Commission-based pay of $30-$50 per hour Benefits Paid training Dental and vision insurance Employee Assistance Program Employee referral program Employee discounts Opportunities for professional growth Appearance Standards Because this is a member-facing role, employees must maintain a clean, professional appearance. Unnatural hair colors such as pink, blue, or bright or unusual reds are not permitted. Facial piercings are not permitted except for one nostril piercing; other facial piercings must be removed or replaced with a clear retainer while working. Gauged ears must be filled and may not exceed 19mm. Face and neck tattoos may not be visible while working.
