The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness and wellness and can inspire and motivate clients to achieve their health goals. This role is based in acorporate fitness center, where you will provide personalized training sessions, lead group fitness classes, and design effective, results‑oriented programs tailored to individual needs. You will also deliver outstanding customer service —building relationships, responding to inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming, professional environment. Schedule & Compensation This is a full‑time (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday role. Compensation includes a base salary/hourly rate with additional pay for personal training sessions and group classes. Duties Conduct fitness assessments to evaluate clients' current health status and fitness levels. Develop personalized programs aligned to client goals, incorporating strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, mobility, and flexibility. Lead engaging group fitness classes that promote a positive, energetic, and inclusive atmosphere. Educate clients on proper exercise technique, body mechanics, and injury‑prevention strategies. Provide ongoing support, accountability, and motivation throughout the client journey; track progress and outcomes.
Deliver exceptional customer service:
greet and engage members, answer questions in a timely and professional manner, and resolve issues or escalate when appropriate. Maintain high standards of facility cleanliness and safety; complete basic equipment checks and incident reporting as needed. Collaborate with teammates (and property partners, as applicable) to plan classes, challenges, and wellness initiatives that drive engagement. Stay current on fitness, nutrition, and wellness trends to enhance programming and member education. Complete administrative tasks (scheduling, session notes, attendance, and basic reporting) accurately and on time. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and movement mechanics as they relate to exercise and health. Proficiency in program design for a variety of fitness levels and goals. Experience teaching group fitness classes and effectively engaging participants. Background in personal training with individualized coaching and progression strategies. Clear, professional communication and customer‑service skills (in person, phone, and email). Ability to coach safe movement and modify exercises for different populations. Solid time management and organizational skills; comfortable with basic fitness software/scheduling tools. Qualifications Current NCCA‑accredited CPT (e.g., NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ACE). Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification (required) Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in fitness training and/or group fitness (preferred). Ability to lift/move equipment as needed and stand for extended periods.
