Job Description

Job SummaryWe are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and certified Group Fitness Instructor to lead engaging, safe, and effective exercise classes for our vibrant 55+ active adult community. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of active aging, functional movement, and exercise modification.

In this role, you will utilize science-backed training methodologies (such as the
NASM OPT
™ model guidelines) to help our residents improve balance, core stability, flexibility, and muscular endurance, empowering them to maintain an independent and high quality of life.
Key Responsibilities Class Instruction:
Design and lead group fitness classes tailored specifically for active older adults (ranging from low-impact cardio and strength training to flexibility, balance, and restorative movement).
Movement Modification:
Demonstrate proper form and proactively provide progressions and regressions to accommodate varying fitness levels, joint sensitivities, or physical limitations.
Community Engagement:
Cultivate a welcoming, inclusive, and highly motivating class environment that encourages social connection and regular participation.
Safety & Risk Management:
Conduct pre-class environment checks, monitor participant exertion levels, and ensure all exercises are executed safely.
Professionalism:
Manage class start/end times efficiently and maintain open, professional communication with community management.
