Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Group Fitness Instructor and inspire members to achieve their health and fitness goals through engaging, energetic, and professionally led classes. In this role, you will design and deliver a variety of group exercise sessions, fostering a motivating environment that promotes physical well-being, community connection, and personal growth. Your expertise will help participants improve their strength, flexibility, endurance, and overall fitness in a safe and supportive setting. Responsibilities Lead diverse group fitness classes such as aerobics, yoga, Pilates, cycling, CrossFit, dance-based workouts, and specialized training sessions with enthusiasm and clear instruction. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and body mechanics to ensure participant safety and maximize effectiveness. Develop innovative class programs tailored to different fitness levels and goals, incorporating principles of biomechanics, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and program design. Monitor participants during classes to provide coaching, correct form, and offer modifications as needed. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health club standards and implementing manual handling procedures during equipment setup or heavy lifting activities. Stay current with industry trends by pursuing ongoing education in fitness sales, sports coaching, health club operations, CPR/AED certification, first aid training, and other relevant certifications such as Yoga or Pilates. Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation and fosters community engagement within the fitness center. Qualifications Proven experience in group fitness instruction within a gym or health club setting. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation is required; additional certifications in First Aid are preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, body mechanics, and exercise science principles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants effectively. Ability to demonstrate exercises safely while providing clear guidance on technique and form.
