Job Description
FLEXX Fitness is a growing boutique personal training and small group fitness studio. We seek to hire an energetic, motivated, skilled personal trainer to join our team and encourage and inspire our members. You will be responsible for helping to meet our members' exercise needs, so communication skills and customer service experience will be necessary. In this role, you will create exercise plans for a wide range of clients who will rely on you to help them achieve their fitness goals. Training Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate the client's fitness level and skillset to plan reachable goals
- Design fitness programs for individual clients; customize to meet a range of fitness goals from weight loss to athletic performance.
- Lead clients through planned exercise routines in personal training and small group fitness settings
- Counsel and educate clients on diet, nutrition, and exercise within scope of practice
- Educate a wide range of clients of all ages based on their fitness capabilities
- Track client progress
- Adjust client personalized plans as goals are reached
- Perform CPR, first aid, or other emergency procedures if needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and co-workers
- Maintain an accurate schedule within the company system Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous personal training experience preferred
- High school degree or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- First aid and CPR training and certification required
- Professional certification required
- Able to work evenings and weekends
- Positive attitude, encouraging, and patient with clients when instructing
- Able to build positive and professional relationships with clients
- Position involves frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing
- Able to lift 50+lbs
- Able to work with clients who may need specialized attention
