Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
Develop and instruct group exercise classes for members of the Weinstein Center for Recreation.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that group exercise classes are delivered to participants in a safe and enjoyable manner.
- Explain procedures, risks, and benefits to participants, and inform participants that they have the right to refuse, stop, or alter procedures at any time.
- Assist with the creation of new class offerings. Stay current with exercise trends and safety standards.
- Assist in the training, supervision, and evaluation of other instructors as needed.
- Attend all required training workshops and scheduled meetings.
- Accurately complete required daily attendance forms for all assigned classes
- Adhere to all University Recreation employee standards.
- Adhere to all emergency procedures in compliance with the risk management plan.

Knowledge, skills & ability:- Current nationally accredited certification in Group Fitness (AFAA, NSCA, ACE, ACSM, NASM preferred)
- Must demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology at a level required by the certification program.
- CPR/AED certification required. Education & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Health, Physical Education or Recreation related field preferred, but may be substituted with appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities.
Salary:
Salary range is based on experience level. Starting rate $25 for entry-levelScheduled Hours:
