This position combines wellness coordination and team leadership with personal training, offering an opportunity to make an impact both behind the scenes and directly with members. Key Responsibilities Assist the Wellness Manager in managing 15-25 employees Provide strong leadership, communication, and support to Wellness team members Support team scheduling and coordination to ensure appropriate staffing and member service Support hiring and staffing decisions based on member demand and budget Provide administrative support including billing, scheduling, and member intakes Support wellness programs, educational events, and special initiatives Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop engaging programming Promote Wellness programs through member engagement and strategic communication Track participation, satisfaction, and other program metrics Support wellness budgets, equipment, and vendor relationships Help ensure wellness activities are safe, professional, and compliant Provide 25-30 hours per week of personal training based on member demand Schedule This is a full-time position with a maximum of 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include approximately 10-15 hours per week dedicated to coordination duties, with up to 25-30 additional hours allocated to personal training instruction. Availability on Thanksgiving morning is mandatory to support the annual CCV Turkey Trot event. Qualifications At least one year of supervisory, management, or wellness program coordination experience 3+ years of personal training, instruction, or coaching experience Knowledge of up-to-date health and wellness principles, including fitness, nutrition, and recovery Experience with program marketing, event planning, and community engagement Certification in coaching, group fitness, or related credentials (e.g., NSCA, NASM, ACSM) in addition to CPR/AED certification Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Club Profile The Country Club of Virginia is one of America's oldest and finest private, member-owned clubs.
