The Quechee Club is seeking an energetic, certified Fitness Class Instructor to join our Health Club team. If you're passionate about helping others live healthier lives and enjoy creating a welcoming, motivating environment, we'd love to meet you. Position Summary The Fitness Instructor is responsible for leading safe, engaging, and effective group fitness classes while building positive relationships with members. This individual encourages participation, adapts workouts to varying fitness levels, and helps create an inclusive atmosphere where members feel supported in achieving their wellness goals. Successful fitness instructors combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate participants. Responsibilities Lead dynamic group fitness classes for members of varying ages and abilities. Provide modifications and progressions to ensure safe participation. Foster a fun, positive, and inclusive class environment. Promote proper exercise technique and injury prevention. Arrive prepared and ensure all equipment is set up and safely maintained. Build relationships with members and encourage ongoing participation. Assist with promoting wellness programs and special Health Club events. Maintain current certifications and follow all Club safety policies. Qualifications Nationally recognized Group Fitness Instructor certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, or equivalent). Current CPR/AED certification. Previous group fitness instruction experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to motivate participants of all fitness levels. Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic. Availability to teach mornings, evenings, and/or weekends. Schedule & Compensation This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a flexible work schedule. Availability for days, evenings, and weekends is required. Employment at the Quechee Club comes with great perks!
