In this role, you will design and deliver dynamic group exercise sessions, fostering a positive environment that encourages health, wellness, and community connection. Your expertise will help members achieve their fitness goals while ensuring safety and proper technique throughout each class. Responsibilities Lead diverse group fitness classes, including cardio, strength, flexibility, and specialized training sessions with enthusiasm and professionalism Develop innovative class programs that cater to different skill levels and fitness objectives, incorporating current trends and scientific principles Ensure participant safety by demonstrating proper body mechanics, manual handling techniques, and correct exercise form Provide clear instructions on exercise techniques, modifications, and safety precautions to maximize effectiveness and minimize injury risk Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation, motivation, and camaraderie among class attendees Stay updated on the latest developments in biomechanics, physiology, and strength training programs to enhance class quality Support the overall operation of the fitness center by assisting with client communication, answering questions, and promoting a positive customer service experience Requirements Proven experience in the fitness industry with strong background in group fitness instruction or personal training Knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics essential for designing safe and effective workouts Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation required; first aid certification preferred Demonstrated ability to develop tailored strength and conditioning training programs for diverse populations, including athletes Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate clients and foster a supportive environment Familiarity with fitness center operations, coaching techniques, and customer service standards within a gym or health club setting Ability to handle weight handling tasks safely in accordance with manual handling guidelines Strong team leadership qualities with a proactive approach to program development and class management Join us as a Group Fitness Instructor to inspire others through movement!
