Job Description

Bring your enthusiasm and passion for helping people while having fun with you when you join the Oshkosh YMCA Aquatics team. As an Arthritis Aquatics Instructor, you will help lead, instruct, and coach participants. Typical water fitness classes are 45 minutes in length. Working at the Y on a regular basis includes free membership and discounts on programs. No experience or certifications are required to start but they are helpful. The ability to swim is not necessary. Have the ability to effectively and creatively lead a safe water fitness class Learns, knows, and reviews all emergency procedures and can assist the lifeguards in emergency situations immediately, in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures Responds to patron's inquiries and concerns with a courteous and pleasant attitude. Identifies and celebrates the successes of members and program participants Develops a class plan for each class session and arrives fully prepared Completes records and reports in a timely and professional manner Participates in in-service training and staff meetings as required Maintains current required certifications Demonstrates and upholds the values and philosophy of the YMCA in work actions and attitude
