The ideal candidate will be an established trainer who's passionate about fitness, has a genuine desire to help clients succeed in their goals, and be able to build great client relationships. This is a part-time position and can potentially become full-time as your client base grows. This position generally requires weekday morning, afternoon and Saturday morning availability , but the schedule can be flexible and is based on client scheduling needs. No calls or walk-in applications please. Apply online only. Our team members commit exclusively to our community to ensure an optimal client experience and prevent conflicts of interest. Please note that our Conflict of Interest policy prohibits employees from concurrently operating a personal training business, self-employing within the fitness space, or working for direct competitors (including other local gyms or studios). Candidates will be required to disclose all outside business activities prior to hire. DUTIES Build and retain a client base by demonstrating your fitness knowledge, training skill, professionalism, compassion, and understanding of client needs. Perform fitness assessments for potential clients. Discuss appropriate training packages and pricing with clients. Design appropriate exercise programs that keep our clients motivated and support their goals. Conduct individual and small group training sessions, including proper exercise form, periodic reassessments, and use of progress tracking metrics. Handle new client onboarding and work with your existing clients to renew training packages as needed. Participate in ActiveBody Fitness media content and events (photos, demonstration videos, social media, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent is required. College-level study in a fitness-related field is preferred. Have a CURRENT valid personal trainer certification through a nationally recognized organization such as ASCM, NASM, NSCA, etc.; OR already be in the process to complete one within 30 days of hire. A currentCPR & AED
certification; OR the ability to become certified within 30 days of hire is required. 1+ years of personal training experience in a gym environment is preferred Reliability, professionalism, and punctuality are absolute must haves. Be positive with a friendly attitude and good communication skills, coachable, and open to learning new training concepts and methods.WHAT WE OFFER
Compensation includes a base hourly rate, plus an additional tiered premium when performing training sessions. Earning potential of up to $27/hr. when training client sessions.
