This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a high-acuity hospital environment, including trauma centers and pediatric units, providing expert pharmaceutical care across multiple clinical settings. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for medication management, patient assessment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Your expertise in clinical pharmacy and acute care will directly impact patient safety and recovery. Duties Dispense medications accurately while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy, including pain management and IV infusion protocols. Collaborate with medical teams in emergency room, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and trauma centers to develop and adjust medication plans. Provide expert consultation on pharmacology, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to healthcare staff. Monitor patient responses to medications, especially in critical care settings such as Level I Trauma Centers and Level II trauma centers. Manage medication administration processes, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed during preparation and delivery. Support acute pain management strategies and participate in patient service initiatives focused on optimal medication use. Skills Extensive experience in hospital medicine with a focus on critical care environments such as ICU, PICU, and emergency rooms. Strong knowledge of managed care principles and medication therapy management within hospital settings. Demonstrated proficiency in pharmacy residency programs or post-residency clinical pharmacy experience. Expertise in IV infusion preparation, aseptic techniques, and medication administration procedures. Familiarity with physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and acute care protocols essential for effective patient assessment. Proven ability to handle complex medication regimens involving pain management and acute pain protocols. Experience working within Level I Trauma Centers or similar high-acuity environments with trauma and emergency response teams.
