Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract To Hire An opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations in a specialty retail setting focused on dermatology patients. This contract role, with potential conversion to permanent, is ideal for candidates with pharmacy leadership experience and an interest in managing pharmacy services within a specialized healthcare environment.
Location:
Grand Bay, AL Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00
PM Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 2 pharmacy technicians, ensuring smooth daily operations Oversee pharmacy activities including dispensing and inventory management Support nonsterile compounding of creams and gels related to dermatology treatments Maintain compliance with applicable policies and healthcare regulations Collaborate with dermatology providers to ensure seamless patient service and support
Desired Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist in Charge Background in dermatology pharmacy preferred but not mandatory Experience with nonsterile compounding, specifically creams and gels, is a strong advantage Familiarity with pharmacy management systems; experience with New Leaf is a plus but not required This role offers a manageable volume of patient interactions, as prescriptions are generated by dermatology providers for in-house dispensing. Start date is available within 1-2 weeks, with an initial 13-week contract and a possible transition to a permanent position based on performance and fit.
