- Position Overview
- We are seeking a
- Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
- for a well-established outpatient healthcare organization in the Montgomery, Alabama area. This position is responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining medication inventory, and supporting the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations + Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and pharmacy board regulations + Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation + Monitor medication inventory and controlled substance management + Support quality, safety, and audit readiness initiatives + Collaborate with clinical and operational staff as needed + Participate in recruiting interviews and provide operational input when appropriate •Qualifications•+ Active and unrestricted Alabama Pharmacist license + Clean license history with no disciplinary actions + Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance + Previous Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist in Charge experience preferred, but not required + Excellent organizational and communication skills •Preferred Backgrounds•+ Retail pharmacy + Community pharmacy + Outpatient or ambulatory pharmacy + Specialty pharmacy + Clinic-based pharmacy + Other compliance-focused pharmacy environments •Schedule•+ Full-time, onsite position + Monday through Friday •What Makes This Opportunity Attractive•+ Predictable weekday schedule + No hospital staffing or acute care responsibilities + Stable operational environment + Opportunity to utilize leadership and compliance skills in a patient-focused setting •
