Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire An opportunity is available for an acute care pharmacist at a leading pediatric hospital recognized as the only Level 1 pediatric trauma center in Arkansas. This direct hire position offers a unique setting to work in a 336-bed facility committed to specialized pediatric care, presenting an excellent resume-building experience especially for pharmacists early in their careers. The role features a 7-on, 7-off schedule with both day and night shifts (Thu-Sat 7a-7p; Sun-Wed 8p-7a), with some scheduling flexibility available.

Cabot, Arkansas Responsibilities:
Verify dosing accuracy by considering child-specific factors such as diagnosis, weight, and body surface area. Identify and resolve drug therapy issues including allergies, interactions, duplications, and adverse reactions. Assess appropriateness of prescribed drugs, initiate therapy as needed, and suggest cost-effective alternatives. Evaluate non-formulary drug needs and ensure medication orders are processed promptly and correctly. Assure medications meet quality standards and that dosage forms are properly prepared and labeled. Provide professional support in patient care areas, monitor therapeutic outcomes, and recommend adjustments. Participate in patient, technician, pharmacist, and student education, including discharge planning. Handle drug information requests, compliance reviews, and drug utilization activities diligently. Manage ordering and inventory processes effectively with wholesalers and manufacturers. Coordinate loan/borrow and recall processes as required. Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations. Qualifications /Desired Experience:
Arkansas pharmacist license or willingness to obtain. Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) certification preferred. Prior inpatient pharmacy experience highly desirable. Willingness to work night shifts as part of the rotation. Strong clinical and communication skills to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.Benefits & Perks:
