Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract Provide expert clinical pharmacy services in a dynamic acute care hospital setting. This contract position is based in Forrest City, AR, offering an excellent opportunity to support a medical center with med-surg, ICU, and women's health specialties. The role requires a licensed pharmacist with hospital experience, ready to step in as interim coverage for approximately two months while a permanent hire is finalized.

Schedule:
3 days per week (flexible days, coordinated with Director of Pharmacy) Monday to
Thursday:
8:00 AM - 5:30
PM Friday:
8:00 AM - 1:00 PM No weekend or on-call duties required
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Active Arkansas pharmacist license (required) Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is strongly preferred Familiarity with acute care pharmacy operations Competency in Medhost order entry system preferred; onsite training provided Experience with Pyxis ES automation a plus, but training available
Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders and perform IV compounding with accuracy Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians Collaborate closely with technicians who handle replenishment of Pyxis, expiration monitoring, crash cart checks, medication area inspections, and unit dose dispensing Participate in a 2-3 day onsite orientation to ensure smooth integration
