30-36 hours per week Position Summary TruCare Pharmacy is seeking a dependable, patient-focused Long-Term Care Staff Pharmacist to join our growing team in a full-time position. This role offers the opportunity to practice pharmacy in a collaborative, closed-door long-term care environment while maintaining a manageable 30-36 hour workweek. Our pharmacists work closely with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacy technicians, and long-term care facilities to ensure residents receive safe, accurate, and timely medication therapy. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking to move away from the traditional retail environment while continuing to use their clinical knowledge and make a meaningful impact on patient care. Closed On-Call Responsibilities This position participates in a rotating on-call schedule , typically approximately one week per month . The pharmacist will also participate in a rotating holiday on-call schedule . On-call responsibilities are shared among the pharmacist team and are intended to provide coverage for urgent medication needs outside of regular pharmacy operating hours. As TruCare Pharmacy continues to grow, pharmacy hours may expand to include weekday coverage until 8:00 PM and limited Sunday afternoon hours. Additional scheduled hours may become available as business needs increase. Essential Responsibilities Verify and accurately dispense prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations Review new admissions, medication orders, and prescription changes for accuracy and clinical appropriateness Evaluate medication therapy for allergies, drug interactions, duplicate therapy, dosing, and other clinical concerns Provide clinical support and medication recommendations to nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals Answer medication-related questions from long-term care facilities and pharmacy staff Perform medication regimen reviews and document clinical interventions as appropriate Communicate effectively with nurses and prescribers regarding medication changes, clarifications, and clinical concerns Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to promote safe and efficient workflow Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies Assist in maintaining timely medication turnaround and excellent service to partner facilities Participate in the pharmacist on-call and holiday rotation Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment Perform other pharmacist duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree Active Arkansas pharmacist license (or eligible for Arkansas licensure prior to employment) Minimum of two years of pharmacist experience in retail, hospital, or long-term care pharmacy Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability and willingness to participate in a rotating on-call and holiday schedule Preferred Qualifications Previous long-term care pharmacy experience Experience with QS/1 pharmacy software Familiarity with long-term care pharmacy workflow and regulations Experience communicating with nursing facilities and healthcare providers Compensation & Benefits $55.00-$65.00 per hour , based on experience Full-time schedule of approximately 30-36 hours per week Flexible scheduling Benefits available to eligible full-time employees Opportunities for additional hours as pharmacy needs and business growth allow Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods throughout the workday Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Frequent use of computers and pharmacy dispensing equipment Ability to perform repetitive hand movements required for prescription verification and dispensingPay:
