Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for an Inpatient Pharmacist to support clinical pharmacy services at a 500-bed hospital with specialized units including a 42-bed NICU and a 14-bed Pediatric ICU. The hospital recently transitioned its electronic health record system from Cerner to EPIC, and familiarity with EPIC is highly valued.
Location:
Lubbock, TX Schedule:
Nights, 7 days on / 7 days off (Wednesday through Tuesday rotation)
Type:
Travel assignment (with potential for permanent placement for candidates interested in relocating)
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for inpatients Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication use and patient outcomes Monitor, review, and verify medication orders Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements Participate in clinical rounds and medication reconciliation processes
Qualifications:
1-2 years' experience as an inpatient pharmacist preferred Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system highly preferred due to recent system conversion Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail in medication management Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team Pharmacists with inpatient experience looking for a dynamic hospital environment with advanced specialized units will find this role rewarding.
