Clinical Specialty Pharmacist Salary:
$120,000-$140,000 based on experienceSchedule:
Standard schedule 8:30am-5:00pm; occasional 10:30am-7:00pm shifts as needLocation:
Gilbert, AZ Summary Our client is seeking a Clinical Specialty Pharmacist to support patients with complex and rare disease therapies. This role blends clinical expertise, patient education, and operational leadership to ensure safe, effective, and compliant specialty medication use. The Clinical Specialty Pharmacist will collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, provide direct patient counseling, and ensure compliance with specialty pharmacy accreditation standards. What You Will Do- Act as a trusted clinical partner for patients and caregivers, providing guidance throughout the treatment journey.
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling, supporting patient understanding of therapy goals, side effects, and adherence strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate therapeutic outcomes, documenting progress, adverse events, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with prescribers, care teams, and payers to ensure appropriate access, clinical appropriateness, and timely therapy initiation.
- Support development and execution of individualized care plans aligned with URAC and ACHC standards.
- Verify prescriptions and ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. What You Bring
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing issued by Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
- Minimum 1 year of professional pharmacist experience (or equivalent training and experience).
- Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in specialty pharmacy or clinical care, including case management or polypharmacy care models.
- Minimum 1 year of specialty pharmacist experience within an accredited specialty pharmacy.
- Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) credential, preferred.
- Familiarity with URAC and ACHC accreditation standards, preferred.
