Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a pharmacist to support inpatient care in a dynamic healthcare setting in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The role focuses on ensuring safe and effective medication management through order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and collaborating closely with physicians and nurses. This position offers an engaging atmosphere where your expertise in pharmacokinetics and inpatient pharmacy practice will be highly valued.
Schedule:
Day shifts from 10:00 am to 8:30 pm (10-hour shifts) Flexible work options: Four 10-hour days per week or a 7 days on/7 days off block schedule Immediate start with a contract duration of at least 13 weeks
Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians Consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapy Apply pharmacokinetic principles in patient care decisions Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Desired Qualifications:
Active pharmacist license in Arizona Minimum of one year inpatient pharmacy experience Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and patient care standards This contract position provides a unique chance to make a significant impact on patient outcomes in a supportive environment.
