Make a Meaningful Impact as an Outpatient Pharmacist Supporting Tribal Healthcare Are you a pharmacist looking for an opportunity to provide meaningful patient care while enjoying a consistent outpatient schedule? Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services (ESSS), in partnership with Indian Health Service (IHS), is seeking an experienced Outpatient Pharmacist to support Tsaile Health Center in Tsaile, Arizona . This contract opportunity allows you to use your pharmacy expertise to support medication safety, patient education, and quality healthcare services for the local Tribal community. You will work alongside a dedicated healthcare team in an outpatient setting while enjoying a predictable Monday-Friday schedule, no weekend or holiday requirements, and the professional autonomy that comes with serving an important healthcare mission.

Tsaile Health Center - Indian Health Service Position Overview The Outpatient Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical services focused on medication safety, patient education, and collaborative outpatient care within the Tsaile Health Center . This role works closely with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure safe medication management and support positive patient outcomes within the Tribal healthcare setting. What You'll Do Dispense medications accurately and in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions Counsel patients regarding medication usage, side effects, dosing instructions, and treatment plans Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care Monitor medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations when appropriate Document patient care activities accurately within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety standards Support quality, patient-centered care within an outpatient Tribal healthcare environment What We Offer Competitive compensation Consistent weekday outpatient schedule No weekend or holiday requirements Long-term contract stability with extension potential Opportunity to serve patients within a Tribal healthcare community Professional autonomy while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team Support from ESSS throughout the assignment Open to local and travel candidates Additional Details Outpatient pharmacy setting only Monday-Friday schedule with daytime hours No inpatient pharmacy responsibilities Credentialing and federal clearance process may take up to 90 days Candidates must meet all credentialing requirements prior to beginning assignment Additional Duties Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory Previous outpatient or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacist experience (outpatient or hospital preferred) Current BLS certification (preferred) Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills Experience with EHR systems Must be a U.S. citizen Must be able to pass a federal security clearance Required immunizations must be up to date
