Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract A full-time Pharmacy Supervisor position is available in an animal health compounding pharmacy setting in Bakersfield, CA. The role is onsite with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM. This leadership position will oversee a team of pharmacists responsible for producing high-quality compounded animal health preparations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop a compounding pharmacy team Set productivity and quality expectations for staff Support daily compounding operations and workflow management Ensure compliance with USP , , and standards, along with state and federal regulations Maintain accurate training documentation and adherence to proper compounding procedures Assist with drug selection for dispensing compounded preparations Identify opportunities for process and formulation improvements Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional departments Maintain confidentiality and adherence to company policies
Qualifications:
Current California Pharmacist license in good standing Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years managing pharmacy staff in a laboratory or compounding setting Between 2 and 5 years of compounding experience Strong knowledge of USP , , , State Board regulations, and 503A compounding requirements Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Eligible for benefits package Competitive base salary range of $160,000-$185,000 plus bonus, commensurate with experience This contract opportunity invites experienced pharmacy leaders passionate about compounding in animal health to make an impact.
