Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A full-time opportunity is available for a Compounding Pharmacist in Bakersfield, CA. This contract position is set through July 2026 with the possibility of conversion to permanent status. Responsibilities include overseeing both sterile and non-sterile compounding activities, performing final prescription verifications, and filling, labeling, and prepackaging medications accurately. The role involves direct communication with healthcare providers to clarify orders and manage refills, as well as counseling patients and responding to their inquiries. Strict adherence to
USP 795, 797, 800
standards and Board of Pharmacy regulations is essential to ensure safety and compliance.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:15 AM - 5:15 PM Full-time through July 2026
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Active California Pharmacist license 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with a preference for compounding skills Strong communication and organizational abilities This contract offers an excellent opportunity for pharmacists specializing in compounding to apply their expertise in a clinical setting.
