This role will primarily focus on compounding and hospice pharmacy services while also supporting our broader community pharmacy initiatives. We strive to utilize community pharmacy as a way to address the unmet needs within our community. In addition to traditional community practice, our pharmacists engage in clinical services, mobile vaccine clinics, compounding, and other innovative health initiatives. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about serving a diverse patient population. About Us Komoto Pharmacy is an independent, community-focused pharmacy that has proudly served the Central Valley for over 40 years. With locations in Delano and Bakersfield, we're committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while addressing unmet healthcare needs in our community. Our pharmacists are essential members of a dedicated healthcare team, working collaboratively to improve outcomes and support overall well-being. Key Responsibilities Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and interactions Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations Administer immunizations and conduct health screenings Collaborate with pharmacy staff and providers to enhance patient outcomes Ensure efficient workflow and maintain a safe, compliant pharmacy environment Support compounding and hospice pharmacy operations and patient care services Qualifications PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution Current and unrestricted California pharmacist license 1-3 years of retail or clinical pharmacy experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement Compounding and hospice experience preferred, but we're happy to train the right candidate if you don't have prior experience Compensation & Benefits 401(k) with employer match Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Schedule Full-time 8-hour shifts In-person at our Bakersfield location.
