Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy services in a hospital setting located in El Centro, CA. The position offers a dynamic work environment, focusing on inpatient care with advanced clinical responsibilities. This contract role is available for an immediate start and has a duration of approximately 13 weeks with potential for temp-to-hire status.
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care.
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to tailor medication therapies.
- Participate in on-call rotation shared among pharmacy staff.
- Utilize Cerner for order processing and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Active California pharmacist license.
- Prior inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
- Ability to start immediately.
- Strong communication and clinical skills.
- Comfortable working a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 am to 5:00 pm).
