Clinical Pharmacist

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Alturas, CA is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position, starting ASAP. This role involves working varied schedules that include days, with options of 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts, and will require some weekend coverage.

Responsibilities:

Review and evaluate medication orders for appropriateness and safety. Monitor patient medication therapies and clinical outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients. Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations. Participate in medication management and quality improvement initiatives.

Desired Experience:

Licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of California. Clinical pharmacy experience, preferably within a hospital or medical center setting. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Adaptability to varying shift schedules and weekend work.
