Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A leading non-profit health system in Santa Barbara, CA, is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Oncology to enhance their inpatient and outpatient oncology programs. This role involves both direct patient care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver expert medication management and support oncology clinical trials.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medication management, including ordering lab tests, therapy selection, and managing adverse events. Verify the accuracy and safety of chemotherapy orders and protocols. Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, managing chemotherapy side effects, and improving medication adherence. Collaborate with providers and nurses during clinical rounds to inform treatment decisions. Participate in clinical trials, manage investigational drugs, and develop institutional oncology protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications:
PharmD or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. Eligibility to obtain a California pharmacist license. Completion of PGY2 or oncology fellowship; or PGY1 plus 3 years clinical oncology specialist experience; or 5 years as a clinical oncology specialist. Board certification in oncology (BCOP) is preferred. Strong clinical background with direct oncology patient care experience.

Monday to Friday, day shifts.
