Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem A healthcare facility in Ceres, CA is seeking a part-time Infusion Pharmacist to provide clinical expertise and support for infusion therapy, working 2-3 days per week. The role is ideal for candidates based in nearby areas such as Modesto, Stockton, or Merced. This position offers an ongoing opportunity with Monday to Friday shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., allowing a balanced professional schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and verify physician/prescriber orders for appropriateness, dosage, drug selection, potential interactions, administration routes, and stability. Maintain complete and current patient records, including height, weight, medical history, lab results, and medication lists encompassing prescription, OTC, herbal, and nutritional supplements. Manage required documentation to comply with state/federal regulations and accreditation standards. Order and review clinical laboratory tests, consulting with nurses and physicians regarding patient medication safety and efficacy. Provide clinical and technical support to physicians, nurses, and patients. Support policy implementation in collaboration with the pharmacist-in-charge. Train and supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and interns. Oversee sterile compounding and quality assurance programs, ensuring safety protocols. Document clinical communications in patient medical records. Deliver drug therapy education and instructions to patients and caregivers.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid California pharmacist license in good standing. Strong background in IV, infusion, and clinical pharmacy, with preference given to candidates having home infusion pharmacy experience. Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy systems. This per diem opportunity is perfect for pharmacists eager to apply their infusion expertise with a flexible commitment of 2-3 days per week.
